Call of The Cockerel

As the men sleep in their cradles

They awake by the call of the cockerel

“Oh let harm be upon that cockerel!”

Their tongues utter

For why should harm be upon that poor cockerel?

It is only practising Allah’s bidding

To stop men from sinning

It awakes them for Salaah

So that they may attain Allah’s sawaab

And enter beautiful Jannah

They should bellow “Alhamdulillah!”

May that blessed cockerel keep on calling

Insha Allah

For what other creature helps us rise, before sunrise?
