Imam Subki’s Counsel on Seeking Islamic Knowledge - Shaykh Faraz Rabbani
November 18, 2007 by Adnan
Sallam alaykum.
The proper manners and methodology of seeking knowledge in Islam, from the Counsel of Imam Taqi al-Din Subki to his son Muhammad. The poem is read and explained by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani of www.SunniPath.com. Important in understanding a sound traditional Islamic understanding of knowledge; how it is sought; and the methodology of learning and knowledge that Muslims should follow. Emphasis is given on the purpose of knowledge; acting upon it; sincerely seeking the pleasure of Allah through it; following the way of the inheritors of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); and manifesting the fruits of knowledge in one’s life–faith, piety, worshipfulness, and excellence of character and conduct.
With thanks to SunniPath and Halal Tube.

Masha’Allah may Allah reward our Shaykh Faraz and his family with much preservation of knowledge, affiya, shifaa, and His Tawfeeq in this world and the next. Allahumma Ameen.
Also think it’s amazing how the books are vast in the background and how it’s all related to the topic at hand. Subhan’Allah we love SunniPath.
